What Is GUT'R ID?
GUT'R ID is the customer identification system Gutter Brudderz uses for direct-sale opportunities conducted through social media.
It gives us a simple way to connect a purchase claim made in a social media comment to an actual customer in our system.
If you participate in one of these sales, your GUT'R ID works together with a registered social media username to verify that the person making the claim is actually you.
Two pieces.
One customer.
Both have to match.
Why GUT'R ID Exists
Social media usernames are not reliable customer identifiers by themselves.
People change usernames.
Different people use similar names.
Display names can be changed.
Customers may follow Gutter Brudderz on more than one platform. You can follow us on the platforms below:
And a social media account does not automatically tell us which customer in our system is behind it.
GUT'R ID solves that problem.
Your GUT'R ID provides a consistent customer identifier that can be connected to the social media usernames you register with us.
When you participate in an eligible direct-sale opportunity, we can use that combination to verify your claim.
How A Valid Claim Works
When Gutter Brudderz offers an eligible item for direct sale through social media, instructions for claiming the item will be included with the offer.
When GUT'R ID verification is required, your claim must come from a social media username we already have on file for you.
The GUT'R ID included with that claim must match the GUT'R ID associated with that registered social media account in our system.
In simple terms:
Registered Social Handle + Matching GUT'R ID = Verified Customer
Both pieces must point to the same customer.
A correct GUT'R ID submitted from an unregistered social account does not verify the claim.
A registered social account submitted with the wrong GUT'R ID does not verify the claim.
The information has to match.
Why The Social Handle Matters
Your GUT'R ID is only one part of the verification process.
The social account making the claim matters too.
If you registered your Instagram username with us, for example, a claim made through Instagram needs to come from that registered username.
You cannot simply provide somebody else's GUT'R ID from another account and make a claim using their identity.
Likewise, knowing someone's GUT'R ID does not make you that customer.
The social account and GUT'R ID work together.
That is what allows us to connect activity happening publicly on social media with the correct customer in our system.
If Your Social UserName Changes
If a social media username associated with your GUT'R ID changes, the new username must be updated with Gutter Brudderz before you use it to make a direct-sale claim.
You can update your registered social media information yourself using the same GUT'R ID form.
We cannot verify a new username simply because you tell us after an item has already been claimed.
Keep the social information associated with your GUT'R ID current.
It saves everyone from having to conduct forensic archaeology in a comment section later.
And, we’re not going to that.
GUT'R ID Does Not Guarantee Access
Having a GUT'R ID does not automatically make you an Insider.
It does not determine your Insider tier.
It does not automatically give you Reserved Access.
It does not guarantee that you are eligible to purchase every limited or restricted item.
GUT'R ID identifies you.
Reserved Access determines whether you are eligible for a particular opportunity.
Those are different functions.
When a sale or release has additional eligibility requirements, those requirements still apply.
GUT'R ID And Reserved Access
Some GUT'R ID direct-sale opportunities may involve products or releases connected to the Gutter Brudderz Insider Program.
That is where Reserved Access becomes important.
Reserved Access is based on Insider status, tier, participation, and the eligibility requirements of a particular release.
If an opportunity is restricted to a specific group, having a valid GUT'R ID verifies who you are, but it does not override those restrictions.
Identity does not create eligibility.
It verifies the identity of the person claiming access.
GUT'R ID And Email
GUT'R ID and the Gutter Brudderz mailing list also serve different purposes.
GUT'R ID verifies the identity of customers participating in social-media direct sales.
The mailing list is the primary communication layer of the Insider Program.
That is where eligible customers may receive information about drops, tier status, access windows, program updates, and other announcements.

Participation Is Optional
You do not need a GUT'R ID simply to shop at Gutter Brudderz.
You can browse the regular catalog and purchase generally available products without participating in the GUT'R ID system.
GUT'R ID becomes relevant when you choose to participate in direct-sale opportunities where social-media claim verification is required.
Like the other participation systems within Gutter Brudderz, it is there for customers who want to use it.
The Bottom Line
GUT'R ID connects your customer identity to the social media accounts you register with us.
When GUT'R ID verification is required for a direct-sale claim, the rule is simple:
The claim must come from a registered social media account, and the GUT'R ID provided must match the customer associated with that account.
When both pieces match, we know who is making the claim.
If they do not match, the claim is not verified.
GUT'R ID identifies you.
Reserved Access determines what you may be eligible to access.
Email helps keep you informed about opportunities and program activity.
