Customer Service
Customer Service Mission Statement
Customer service is not a contact form.
It is part of how a brand earns trust and either keeps it or loses it.
Gutter Brudderz uses modern production methods that give us flexibility, broader product variety, and a rotating catalog.
Those same methods come with tradeoffs.
We would rather explain those tradeoffs plainly than let customers figure them out the hard way.
The philosophy is simple: set clear expectations, communicate honestly, and handle problems fairly.
We Know 'Made-to-Order' Has Tradeoffs
A significant portion of the Gutter Brudderz catalog is produced on a 'made-to-order' basis.
That means some products are not manufactured until after an order is placed.
Here is what that means in practice:
Production takes time before shipment.
Your order may go through production before it enters the shipping process.
That is normal, but it means fulfillment is not always instant.
Different products may involve different partners.
Some items are produced through customization or production partners.
This is how we offer more variety without maintaining a traditional warehouse.
Orders may ship separately.
If your order includes multiple products, they may arrive in separate shipments depending on where they are produced.
Tracking updates in stages.
You may see tracking information that updates gradually rather than all at once.
That is expected behavior, not a sign that something is wrong.
Minor visual differences can occur.
Screen settings, lighting, material texture, production methods, and item construction can create small differences between how a product looks in an image and how it looks in hand.
We do our best to make sure product visuals are accurate to what is being offered.
None of this is unusual for modern apparel production.
It is just worth knowing upfront.
Transparency Is Part of the Experience
We are not going to pretend that made-to-order production is instant, identical every time, or without variables.
It is not.
What we can do is be clear about how the system works so that customers know what to expect before they order, not after.
That means honest product descriptions, realistic fulfillment expectations, and direct communication when something needs to be addressed.
Clear expectations are not a workaround.
They are part of the customer experience.
Our 60-Day Return Window
Gutter Brudderz offers a 60-day return window.
That is not standard for made-to-order apparel...it is above the standard.
A lot of stores that use flexible production methods keep return windows short or have restrictive return processes.
We do not think that is the right approach.
Sixty days gives customers time to receive their order, inspect it properly, evaluate the fit and quality, and reach out if something is not right.
Buying apparel online without being able to try it first is a real limitation.
The return window is designed to take that seriously.
This policy reflects a commitment to the customer experience, not just the transaction.
Reasonable Exceptions
Fair does not mean unlimited, and we want to be straightforward about that.
Returns and support requests are reviewed based on timing, product condition, order details, and good-faith use of the process.
Situations that may fall outside reasonable limits include:
Returns requested after the 60-day window has closed.
Products that have been worn, washed, altered, or are no longer in an inspectable condition.
Damage resulting from customer use rather than a product defect.
Items marked as final sale or clearly identified as non-returnable at the time of purchase.
Orders where an incorrect shipping address was provided by the customer.
Hygiene-sensitive items where applicable.
Requests that involve policy misuse or are not made in good faith.
We are not listing these to be suspicious of anyone.
Most customers are straightforward, and we treat them that way.
These limits exist because a fair policy has to work in both directions.
How We Handle Problems
If something goes wrong with an order, the goal is to understand what happened and find a resolution that makes sense.
That means actually reviewing the issue, not sending an automated response that ignores the details.
It means looking at the order, the product, the timeline, and what the customer experienced.
We cannot guarantee every outcome in advance, because situations vary.
What we can say is that support is approached as a practical, human process, not an obstacle customers have to fight through to get help.
If you have an issue, reach out.
Give us the relevant details.
We will work through it.
What We Ask From Customers
Customer service works better when both sides approach the process reasonably.
Here is what we ask:
Read product details before ordering.
Specs, materials, production notes, and fulfillment information are there for a reason.
Provide accurate shipping information.
Orders sent to incorrect addresses due to customer error create complications we may not be able to fully resolve.
Contact support promptly.
If something is wrong, do not wait.
The sooner an issue is reported, the more options we have to address it.
Expect that production takes time.
Made-to-order means your order may be in production before it ships.
That is part of how the catalog works.
Use the process honestly.
Support and return processes are built for customers with real issues.
We ask that they be used that way.
The Bottom Line
Gutter Brudderz uses flexible production systems because they allow us to offer more, adapt faster, and keep the catalog interesting.
That does not mean customer trust is optional.
We are here to set expectations clearly, provide honest product information, support customers fairly when things go wrong, and keep the shopping experience straightforward.
The 60-day return window is part of that commitment.
So is being direct about how the system works instead of hiding behind vague language and fine print.
Flexible production.
Real accountability.
That is how this works.
