Artist Partnerships

Artist Partnerships

Gutter Brudderz is looking for original artists whose work fits the brand and can translate onto real products.

If you make bold, original visual work, including illustration, graphic design, character art, lettering, patch concepts, tattoo-influenced work, or streetwear-adjacent art, and your style leans toward dark humor, lowbrow, or counterculture, this page is for you.

What We Are Looking For

The brand needs artists who can create work that lives on apparel, hats, patches, accessories, and product graphics.

Not all good art translates to merchandise.

What works here is visual work that is bold, readable at product scale, and fits the Gutter Brudderz aesthetic.

Artists who may be a good fit:

Illustrators and graphic designers.

Tattoo artists and tattoo-culture visual creators.

Comic-style and character artists.

Streetwear and apparel graphic designers.

Lettering and typography artists.

Logo designers and colorists.

Digital painters and patch artists.

Dark humor, absurdist, lowbrow, and alternative visual artists.

Product graphic artists with apparel experience.

Work that may be considered:

Original apparel graphics and product artwork.

Patch and hat concepts.

Capsule collections and limited drops.

Character art and coloring.

Lettering, logo refinement, and typography.

Creator and influencer collection support.

Collaborative releases.

If your work has personality, holds up at product scale, and fits the lane, we want to see it.

This Is Not Wholesale or an Influencer Partnership

Three different programs.

Three different structures.

Worth being clear about.

Wholesale partners purchase product from Gutter Brudderz and resell it.

Influencer and creator partners bring verified audiences and promote merch collections.

Artist partners bring original visual work, design skill, and product-ready creativity.

This page is about the third one.

This is not a free art submission program.

This is not work-for-exposure.

This is not spec work.

Selected artists are compensated for approved projects and receive ongoing royalties from sales using their work.

Original Work Only

This requirement is non-negotiable.

Gutter Brudderz only works with original artwork or assets that the artist has the legal right to license for commercial use.

That means every submission needs to be something the artist actually created, or something they have properly cleared rights to use commercially.

Do not submit:

Stolen or copied artwork.

Traced designs presented as original.

Unlicensed fan art or copyrighted characters.

Logos or assets the artist does not own or have rights to.

AI-generated work presented as original hand-created art without disclosure and prior approval.

The simple version: if you did not create it or do not have the right to license it commercially, do not submit it.

Originality and commercial-use clarity are baseline requirements for any artist conversation to move forward.

How Artist Payment Works

Selected artists are paid through a structured two-part project payment process.

Here is how it works:

Step 1: Concept or Sketch Review

The artist presents the agreed concept direction, sketch, or early-stage visual.

This gives both sides a clear starting point before significant work is invested.

Step 2: 50% Upfront

After the concept or sketch is reviewed and approved, Gutter Brudderz releases 50% of the agreed project payment.

Work proceeds from there.

Step 3: Final Artwork Completion

The artist completes the work according to the agreed scope and delivers the final files.

Step 4: Final Review

Gutter Brudderz reviews the completed artwork against the agreed scope.

Step 5: Remaining 50% Released

After the completed artwork is reviewed and approved, the remaining 50% of the agreed project payment is released.

Artists are paid for approved work.

The payment structure protects both sides: the artist gets paid at concept stage, and the final payment follows delivery and approval.

Royalties From Sales

Beyond the project payment, selected artists receive a standard royalty from sales generated using their approved artwork.

The project payment compensates the creative work.

The royalty compensates the ongoing use of that work in the Gutter Brudderz catalog.

Both apply to approved partner artists.

Neither replaces the other.

Required Artist Setup

Partner artists are required to maintain four standard accounts as part of Gutter Brudderz onboarding.

These are not optional.

They are operational requirements for active partner artists.

PayPal

Project payments and royalties are paid through PayPal.

It is the standard payment method for artist transactions.

Carrd

Carrd is used to maintain a clean artist profile: a simple home base that can hold a bio, portfolio highlights, contact information, and project context.

It gives the artist a presentable footprint that Gutter Brudderz can reference or link when promoting artist work.

Linktree

Linktree is used as a broader link hub for socials, portfolio links, commission pages, stores, contact points, and other public-facing artist assets.

It keeps everything accessible in one place.

Telegram

Telegram provides a dedicated communication channel so both Gutter Brudderz and our Artist Partners have reliable, direct access to one another throughout the project.

Why all four matter:

When Gutter Brudderz promotes an artist, whether through product releases, project credits, or collaborative announcements, having clean, functional artist assets means promotion can actually point somewhere useful.

Carrd and Linktree make that possible through the artist’s own system.

Paypal facilitates payment.

Telegram facilitates timely communication.

Gutter Brudderz maintains a Linktree Page that serves as a brand information routing directory.

Gutter Brudderz maintains a Carrd Page that serves as a partner directory.

The partner directory serves as router to our artist, influencer and wholesale partners.

If you do not currently have these set up, getting them in order is part of the onboarding process.

How Artist Promotion Works

When artist credit or project promotion is part of a release, Gutter Brudderz uses the artist’s own asset system to direct attention back to the artist.

That means linking to the artist’s Carrd profile, Linktree hub, or associated platforms, depending on what makes sense for the project.

Artist promotion runs through the artist’s infrastructure, not a generic internal page.

The cleaner the artist’s setup, the more useful the promotion.

Who Is Not a Fit

To keep things efficient:

Artists submitting stolen, traced, unlicensed, or improperly sourced work.

Artists who cannot confirm commercial-use rights on submitted material.

Artists who cannot deliver usable, production-ready files.

Artists expecting submitted work to be automatically adopted into products.

Artists who cannot meet agreed scope, timelines, or communication standards.

Artists whose style does not align with the brand aesthetic.

Artists who will not complete the required onboarding setup.

Artists who are expecting exposure to substitute for payment.

Gutter Brudderz respects creative labor.

The expectation runs both directions: artists deliver quality, original, agreed work, and Gutter Brudderz pays for it.

The Bottom Line

If your art is original, product-ready, and fits the Gutter Brudderz lane, there may be a real partnership worth building.

Selected artists get paid at concept stage, paid again after final review and approval, and earn ongoing royalties from sales using their approved work.

Artist promotion runs through a clean, functional artist asset system that puts attention back on the artist.

This is a screened program.

Not every submission moves forward.

But the artists who do move forward are compensated for their work, not handed a mention and told to be grateful for the visibility.

If that sounds like the right structure, the conversation is worth starting.
